Safety of participants is of paramount concern to Rowing NZ. There are a number of documents below which will assist with ensuring club members and event participants are not exposed to unnecessary risk.
The Rowing New Zealand High Performance Risk Analysis and Management Plan is available for clubs to use as a template to prepare their own plan.
You can apply to have your regatta sanctioned by Rowing New Zealand. Complete the Regatta Sanctioning Application and return it to the Domestic Manager.
Unaccompanied rowing without coach boat, load your PFD on board before you head out. 
Once a year a Rowing Club must complete this annual Safety Audit to gain an exemption from the requirement to be in a Maritime NZ SSM and for boat drivers to hold a Maritime Document, you might like to download survey as a PDF before competing it online, Audit Survey
