The Guardian - Karapiro legend
It's carried Prime Ministers, countless TV and media crews, thousands of sponsors and VIPs and probably as many officials and the Guardian is still going strong on Lake Karapiro after decades of service. But it's not quite ready for retirment yet and it's finest hour could yet be to come as it is lined up to serve in the Rowing World Championships which take place at Lake Karapiro in October and November 2010. Hats off to the Guardian - a Lake Karapiro hero and a faithful servant to the sport for many, many years.
Kiwis march on at Henley Royal Regatta
Team Kiwi marched on at the Henley Royal Regatta today with only Thursday hero Duncan Grant a casualty. Mahé Drysdale, both women's quadruple sculls, both men's double sculls and the men's pair all progressed to Saturday's semi-finals at the regatta after dominant rows in the quarter finals.
