Many will be aware of Nelson's plans to create a rowing course on Rabbit Island a stone's throw outside of the centre of Nelson.

It would provide the sport with another exciting venue as it continues to grow and develop.

Deadlines are now getting close and the rowing community nationwide now needs to show the local council that the project has the backing of the sport across the country - this will help them allocate $3.5 million to the construction of the course.
